Peiran Tan is a product and graphic designer based in San Francisco. He‘s interested in systems of mass production with beautiful and egalitarian results.

Peiran writes about typography and design history with a focus on 20th century modernism. He writes & edits for The Type, an independent design media platform in China, and contributed to some of its award-winning publications.

Peiran likes hiking, kayaking, go-karting, and coffee. He lives with his girlfriend and Slippy, a tabby cat (see a picture).
