Peiran Tan is an interaction and graphic designer based in Seattle. He believes that effective human collaboration and rational planning can yield beautiful results even with minimal resources.

Peiran writes about typography and design history with a focus on 20th century modernism. He writes & edits for The Type, an independent design media platform in China, and contributed to some of its award-winning publications.

Peiran likes hiking, kayaking, go-karting, and coffee. He lives with his girlfriend and Slippy, a tabby cat (see a picture).
