Peiran Tan is a product and graphic designer based in San Francisco, currently at Notion. He‘s interested in systems that mass-produce beautiful and egalitarian artifacts.

Peiran writes about typography and design history with a focus on 20th century modernism. He’s an editor at The Type, an independent design media platform in China, and contributed to some of its award-winning publications.

Peiran likes hiking, kayaking, go-karting, and making coffee. He lives with his girlfriend and Slippy, a tabby cat (see a picture).
